The Coordination of the XXI SBSR will select the best works to be nominated for a Special Edition in the journal Remote Sensing – MDPI.

The XXI Brazilian Remote Sensing Symposium (SBSR 2025) is being organized with the primary objective of providing a forum for the remote sensing and geoinformatic communities to present and discuss their work. 

Over its past 20 editions, the SBSR has consistently drawn academic and business professionals from Brazil and other countries, providing a platform to share and discuss the forefront of remote sensing, including recent research, technological innovations, pedagogical approaches, and policy developments.

 
Leveraging SBSR 2025, this Special Issue will publish significantly enhanced versions of selected papers. Submissions must demonstrate substantial extensions beyond the conference proceedings, featuring expanded methodologies, datasets, and comparative analyses. An expedited peer review process will ensure timely publication.
