Short Course 19: Development of Interactive Dashboards and WebGIS Applications for Geospatial Analysis with Python

Type:

Workshop

Category:

Workshop

Place:

Room 2

Date and time:

11:00 to 21:00 on 04/13/2025

The presentation of data through dashboards and WebGIS systems is crucial in the context of remote sensing, as it allows for interactive visualization and detailed analysis of large volumes of geospatial information. Using the Python programming language, along with libraries such as Streamlit, Google Earth Engine (GEE), and Dash, it is possible to build robust applications that facilitate the interpretation of complex data. This mini-course will have a practical focus, introducing fundamental concepts of Python packages such as GEE, geemap, Plotly, and Streamlit, along with the development of routines for geospatial analysis. Participants will learn to perform zonal statistics and create historical series, integrating remote sensing techniques to build interactive dashboards and WebGIS systems. The course aims to equip participants with practical and theoretical skills essential for professionals and enthusiasts who wish to apply Python programming in the field of remote sensing.
